AGBU Lebanon President Gerard Tufenkjian and Armenia’s Newly Appointed Ambassador Discuss Mutual Areas of Interest and Cooperation

On Thursday, February 14, on a protocol visit, the president of AGBU Lebanon Gerard Tufenkjian, accompanied by AGBU Lebanon District Committee members Sylva Libaridian, Vicken Tchertchian, Sarkis Keuchguerian, Gary Nazarian and the Programs Coordinator & Communications Director of AGBU Lebanon Arine Ghazarian, met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Lebanese Republic H.E. Mr. Vahagn Atabekyan. Present at the meeting was Davit Alaverdyan, third secretary at the Embassy.

President Tufenkjian expressed his warm congratulations to Atabekyan on his appointment as Ambassador and noted that AGBU is looking forward to fruitful future collaborations.

In his turn, Ambassador Atabekyan expressed his appreciation for AGBU’s dedication in building a global Armenian nation not only through uplifting the people of Armenia, but also by enhancing Armenia-Diaspora relations.
