“Every Climb has a story…” Within the events of the 110 anniversary celebrations, on Friday, November 11, 2016, AGBU Lebanon organized an exceptional meeting with the proud Lebanese-Armenian AGBU member, Everest climber Ara Khatchadourian! After screening a short film on this epic ascent, Khatchadourian shared his climbing experience and his astonishing life story. Conquering the ambitious height of 8848m on May 23, 2016, Ara Khatchadourian raised the Armenian and the AGBU flags in recognition of the strong patriotic spirit, leadership and determination he developed while being a student at AGBU Demirdjian School and scouting at the AGBU-AYA Antranik scouts in Beirut.
