Following the successes of its performances and the hard work of the supervising committees, the AGBU-AYA Arine Dance Group attracts more than 200 young dancers, who learn about their cultural dance heritage. Under the guidance of artistic director and choreographer, Gayaneh Madzounian, the Group put on stage great performances: “The Golden Gramophone” (2012) and the “Call of the Highlands” (2013) which, in collaboration with the choreographer Gakig Ginosyan, paid tribute to the 110th anniversary of the great composer, Aram Khatchadourian. In 2014, the group put on stage the “Daredevils of Sassoun”.
In July 2012, after receiving an invitation from the Ministry of Diaspora of Armenia, the Dance Group participated in the “Im Hayastan” Cultural festival and received the “Best Diaspora Dance Group” award.
In 2014, the senior dancers performed in “Im Hayastan” (“My Armenia”) Festival; the 10-day celebration that showcases top talents from across Armenia and the diaspora.
Following the events of the October 17 protests in 2019 and the start of the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Arine Dance Group took a pause and was not able to perform. In 2022, the Group started its practices again with the guidance of the talented choreographer and artistic director Jiro Ketchedjian.
